Check out the Ingredients of the LIES of Fear

From Thom Gardner’s Book Healing the Wounded Heart ch 8, p 89-100

Spiritual BeliefsExpect no grace, love or care from God or people, often a bitter root expectation of being falsely accused, condemned, scapegoated and blame shifted onto you, not safe to speak. This lack of the sense of the Love of God can be a root of unbelief and manifest in rebellion, defiance and independence from God, family or those in authority

Soul Beliefs I’m all alone, there’s no one to help me or protect me from huge danger- we fear what we believe that is often False Evidence Appearing Real but is a compelling deception. We might hear a loud unusual sound and believe ‘it’s not safe to be here’ and want to flee. Or if people make threats and bully us or lie about us, we fear it is not safe to stand up and speak the truth. Or we fear we’ll be punished or retaliated against, controlled or manipulated, or that our words and motives will be twisted..

Soul Senseof deep Anxiety, Terror, Dismay, Nerves, Danger, Intimidation or Annihilation.  This can trigger our ‘Flight Fright’ reaction, where we feel paralysed and close down inside or become hyper vigilant, adapt to be a ‘false self’ that we imagine is acceptable to fit in or to protect us.

Symptoms socially – feel discouraged, shaken, unsafe, stressed, isolated, left out, alone, fear of being judged as different, not wanted or I don’t fit in. So we seek approval and appease and lie to people to try and fit in, putting on a mask of self-protection or get angry.

Emotion Focus – feel I’m ‘unloveable’, uncovered, unprotected, left behind alone. Often we feel fear in the dark. We may experience negative nightmare feelings of distress & distorted perspectives of reality, fear of death. Also, fear of failure or what men or women can do to ridicule, ruin, hurt, abuse, rob or kill us that can hold us captive and fearful of risk taking.

Green (Let us SEE) Lettuce, Avocado and Artichoke Salad – very nutritious for the heart!

Expels the Lies of Fear that Blind & Block us seeing the Revelation of the heart of our:

  • True Heavenly Father,  spoke compassionately to Moses in his fear of leading the people of Israel after their Baal worship incident when he was up Mnt Sinai receiving the 10 Commandments and came down and found God’s people in idolatrous activities. God did not punish Moses, but was compassionate. In Exod 33:14 God said; ‘My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest.’ When Moses asked: ‘Please show me your glory!’ God said, ‘I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, theLORD, in your presence. I will have mercy.’ In Exod 34:6-7 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, ‘The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.” God is a holy God and we need to reverence and honour Him.

In Joshua 1:9 God exhorted Joshua: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  • Jesus Messiah,  God’s Beloved Son said “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” –Lk 12:32

The apostle Paul understood Jesus’ heart and exhorted the people of Phillippi in Phil 4:6 -7

The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The Apostle Peter encourages us in 1 Peter 5:7-11 to:

Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

  • Holy Spirit –  When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” Jn 16:13

The Holy Spirit of Truth quickens God’s word to us in Heb 2:14b-15
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also (Jesus) Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Jesus’ Victory over death having been Resurrected has set us free from the Fear of Death!

Holy Spirit Salad with fruit bites – God’s Antidote Medicine for His Truth Replacement

    • Fruit of the Holy Spirit – Receive the Love of God that has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, so that our hearts will not be troubled. God’s perfect love casts out all fear, so let us trust God’s goodness and resist the enemy of our soul – no more fear of lack or fear of man;
    • Gift of the Spirit – the gifts of Faith and Miracles – instead of shrinking back in fear
    • Isa 11:2 Holy Spirit Attribute the Fear of the Lord, the beginning of wisdom
    • Revelation of Jesus to Church of Smyrna; Let us consider how Jesus presented Himself to the persecuted Church in Smyrna in Rev 2:8-11; Jesus said, “I am the First & Last, who was dead and has come to Life.” This was His encouragement as they faced poverty and tribulation
    • His Promise to Overcomers – was, 10 “Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’–You may be tested…be faithful unto death and I will give you the crown of life…..He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death

    Blessing Dressing

1 Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

When God desired to restore His people He spoke through His prophet to bless and protect them by giving them the reverential fear of God and His wisdom so that they could be His people of the new covenant.

Jeremiah 32:38-40 They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.

then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.

Romans 8:14-17 14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

We declare that we Trust in the Lord in this time of increasing shaking and persecution

Jer 17:7-8But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

    . . . . . . .

Faith is the Bridge between fear & the fulfilment of God’s promises:

Matt 5:11-12 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Ps 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

God promised to bring restoration of covenant and to open a door of Blessing for Joseph as he faced and overcame many fears & traumas in prison – watch this Video …….

    Ps Jeff’s Special Today: “Pride”

Pride is a disdainful, arrogant attitude toward others. In direct contrast, Jesus/Yeshua claimed rightly that He was meek and lowly. Proverbs 6:16-17 is right on point:  These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look……”

The Lord Yeshua/Jesus addresses this issue directly in Mark 7: 20-23: ” ‘What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit , lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Pride is also mentioned in Proverbs 8:13, Proverbs 16:18 (” Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall), Romans 12:16, 1 Corinthians 13:4, Galatians 6:3.

James 4:10 states: Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is pride an old issue needing to be confessed? And then repented of ? Do you think His Word is only for the disciples 2,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of pride as an issue for such a time as this? Is this pride connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?

God bless you as you seek His Holy Spirit Wisdom on that issue.

May you go forward on His path, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1).
