Ps Jeff Daly – National Day of Repentance

Pentecost is ALIVE today!

Yeshua/Jesus’ Words to those first disciples are True for you and me today. “YOU shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8).

He wishes each person on His Planet to have His Holy Spirit and then to operate in the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the first of which is His Love. To receive the Holy Spirit you first have to die to self, die to the flesh and the world’s agenda, and exercise your free will to repent, change your thinking, to focus thereafter on His Way, joining His Kingdom (Matthew 4:17).

You need to be CONVERTED (Acts 3:19)!

No more playing church; find a church where the pastor/or shepherd himself has converted and can lead others into the Holy Spirit.

THE SEASON OF CLOSURE, CLEANING HOUSE, & RESURRECTING FALLEN SEEDS!

By: Nate Johnston

Recently I was in my study in worship when the Lord asked me a simple question “Will you give me that dream?” He asked me. I had been dreading this question for months knowing it was coming.

Since September last year it’s felt like a season of surrendering everything again and watching as unexpected doors closed and the plan changed dramatically. This dream was the last seed I had left and yet here I was holding onto it for dear life when the question came. “Will you give it to me?”

I didn’t want to being honest but I wouldn’t withhold anything from the Lord so I said yes. As I gave it to him whole heartedly a massive grief welled up and out of me like I was mourning a death. It was deep and gutrenchingly painful but I placed it on the altar – the last seed I had left. I spent the next hour on my face as I allowed God to minister to my heart and sever the tie and expectations i had with that dream.

It’s never easy letting go of everything you have been contending for and building for years. This is where many of us have been – a season of being emptied and giving God everything we have been carrying and building. But why?

THE LEDGER OF THE SEEDS

As I was on my face that night I went into a vision where I was holding a ledger and inside was written John 12.24;

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds

I started flicking through the pages to see the different kinds of seeds that had fallen to the ground in the last few years but especially the last 8 months. This is what I read and what I discerned they represented;

  • The seeds of planting/establishing/ & family – the seeds and dreams of being settled and established after a long season of transition. Surrendering these to the Lord has meant having to surrender to an unknown period of time of being in a holding pattern.

  • The seeds of purpose/movements and ministries – the seeds of purpose, our ministries and movements we have been building for a long time. God has been asking us to hand them over to Him in this season.

  • The seeds of promises unfulfilled – the seeds that haven’t come to fruition that we thought would have happened by now. God has asked us to place them and all our questions in His hands.

When I saw these first few headings I knew right away that these were the seeds that were painful to let go of or handover to the Lord yet were crucial to because of what was going to take place next – the resurrection, multiplication, and increase God was bringing to every single seed we handed Him.

But multiplication and Increase isn’t the only reason God leads us into these seasons – it’s a more strategic chess move than you know. It’s to cut the cords on areas that we have both been in bondage too or will be be on bondage to down the the track that would debilitate us.

THE CLEANING HOUSE & CLOSURE

Then I saw more headings written and I knew right away that these were the categories of seeds that God was sending to the ground never to come up again.

  • The seeds of man – the seeds of our own ambition, desires, and will. The things we were trying to build and plant in our own strength and the empires that have been built without Him or have strayed from His design.

  • The seeds of the enemies plans – the seeds the enemy subtly planted in our lives that would grow and strangle Gods plans and purposes. These are the seeds of diversion and distraction that were planted to attack us like an inside job when God was wanting to promote us.

  • The seeds of wrong relationships and alignments – the ties we have to people, networks, and movements that are wrong for us. The ties we have to people who are secretly pitted against us that we can’t see.

  • The seeds of false identity – I believe this is those who have built their life around a religious system or infrastructure of something that is not spirit led and keeping them in bondage. It’s a persona that requires lots of work and I keep and God is confronting that to draw out free you!

  • Seeds of generational cycles and dysfunctions – the connection points that keep you tethered to dysfunctional cycles, habits, mindsets, and addictions. God doesn’t want you going around that mountain again.

  • Seeds of hurt and trauma – these are the seeds that keep coming back like a dog for a stick. Seasons of pain and abuse have caused you to feel like a victim and God is burying those lies once and for all.

  • Seeds of demonic torment – the seeds sown that have created entry points for the demonic to come and bully you daily. These seeds are falling to the ground in this season.

  • Seeds of control and manipulation – this narcissistic tie has robbed you long enough by silencing you and keeping you bound like a puppet on a string.

  • Seeds of complacency and lukewarm Christianity – the seeds of apathy that have taken the fire away from the church and turned your passion into a religious task.

That’s right, God is delivering us right now for our own benefit even if we don’t see it. We only see what’s been lost but many of us have been straddling the fence for far too long and it’s been wearing us out. This is Gods way of rescuing you even if it doesn’t look like it right now.

You’ll notice that everything that was man-made will stay in the ground, every but of striving, fighting for scraps, lofty ambition, and idea not co-birthed with the Holy Spirit. You’ll also notice that the relational attacks, slander, and constant barrage of chatter against you stays in the dust as God has used this season of deep surrender to clean house, sever ties to the wrong people, assassins, fake confidants, and those secretly opposing your mission.

Traps to avoid in a closure season;

  • The temptation to run backwards to the avoid the discomfort of the new.
  • Trying to hold on seeds that need to be given to the Lord.
  • Taking this process on as judgement or failure.
  • People from old seasons trying to reconnect or attach themselves to you.
  • Old sources of control and manipulation trying to put their claws in you again.
  • Opportunities to rehearse and revive the pain and rejection from a buried situation.
  • Taking on the opinions and judgements of critics who are influenced by the accuser.
  • Wallowing in hopelessness and defeat.
  • Believing the enemy’s lies that it’s over for you and your best days are done.

IT’S NOT OVER – IT’S A NEW BEGINNING

You won’t believe the things God is going to resurrect in the days to come. Ministries, movements, plans, marriages, families, & legacies. It’s felt like a season of handing over the broken pieces of dreams and desires, promises, and destiny you have built your life around, but watch as God breathes new life into what you thought was dead and impossible to raise.

Soon you’ll see that while painful this season was the reset you needed to be able to step into the new day God is opening for you. It’s going to be unexpected for those still living in the grief of letting go of what they built, and what they felt failed. But it’s going to feel like they are being given a new map, compass, and directions as God revives the shipwrecks from the past season and blows fresh wind in your sails.

Your heart may be still numb and feeling hope deferred but soon you’ll start to feel God reviving the deep places of your soul and a fresh rivers of living water will flow out of you again. Have you felt like you went into the grave? Have you felt like it was over? The enemy thought he had you beat? Think again..

“Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of IsraelEzekiel 37:12

The Feast of Pentecost or Shavuot has many names in the Bible:

By: Mary Fairchild

The Feast of Weeks, the Feast of Harvest, and the Latter First-fruits. Celebrated on the fiftieth day after Passover, Shavuot is traditionally a joyous time of giving thanks and presenting offerings for the new grain of the summer wheat harvest in Israel.

Feast of Pentecost

  • The Feast of Pentecost is one of Israel’s three major agricultural festivals and the second great feast of the Jewish year.
  • Shavuot is one of the three pilgrimage feasts when all Jewish males were required to appear before the Lord in Jerusalem.
  • Feast of Weeks is a harvest festival celebrated in May or June.
  • One theory on why Jews customarily eat dairy foods such as cheesecakes and cheese blintzes on Shavuot is that the Law was compared to “milk and honey” in the Bible.
  • The tradition of decorating with greenery on Shavuot represents the harvest and the Torah’s reference as the “tree of life.”
  • Because Shavuot falls around the end of the school year, it is also a favourite time for holding Jewish confirmation celebrations.

Feast of Weeks

The name “Feast of Weeks” was given because God commanded the Jews in Leviticus 23:15-16, to count seven full weeks (or 49 days) beginning on the second day of Passover, and then present offerings of new grain to the Lord as a lasting ordinance. The term Pentecost derives from the Greek word meaning “fifty” !

Initially, Shavuot was a festival for expressing thankfulness to the Lord for the blessing of the harvest. And because it occurred at the conclusion of the Passover, it acquired the name “Latter Firstfruits.” The celebration is also tied to the giving of the Ten Commandments and thus bears the name Matin Torah or “giving of the Law.” Jews believe that it was precisely at this time that God gave the Torah to the people through Moses on Mount Sinai.

Time of Observance

Pentecost is celebrated on the fiftieth day after Passover, or the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan, which corresponds with May or June. See this Bible Feasts Calendar for the actual dates of Pentecost.

Historical Context

The Feast of Pentecost originated in the Pentateuch as an offering of firstfruits, decreed for Israel on Mount Sinai. Throughout Jewish history, it has been customary to engage in an all-night study of the Torah on the first evening of Shavuot. Children were encouraged to memorize Scripture and rewarded with treats.

The book of Ruth was traditionally read during Shavuot. Today, however, many of the customs have been left behind and their significance lost. The public holiday has become more of a culinary festival of dairy dishes. Traditional Jews still light candles and recite blessings, adorn their homes and synagogues with greenery, eat dairy foods, study the Torah, read the book of Ruth and attend Shavuot services.

Jesus and the Feast of Pentecost

In Acts 1, just before the resurrected Jesus was taken up into heaven, he told the disciples about the Father’s promised gift of the Holy Spirit, which would soon be given to them in the form of a powerful baptism. He told them to wait in Jerusalem until they received the gift of the Holy Spirit, which would empower them to go out into the world and be his witnesses.

A few days later, on the Day of Pentecost, the disciples were all together when the sound of a mighty rushing wind came down from heaven, and tongues of fire rested on the believers. The Bible says, “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” The believers communicated in languages they had never before spoken. They spoke with Jewish pilgrims of various languages from all across the Mediterranean world.

The crowds observed this event and heard them speaking in different languages. They were amazed and thought the disciples were drunk on wine. Then the apostle Peter got up and preached the Good News of the kingdom and 3000 people accepted the message of Christ. That same day they were baptized and added to the family of God.

The book of Acts continues to record the miraculous outpouring of the Holy Spirit that began on the Feast of Pentecost. This Old Testament feast revealed “a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ” (Colossians 2:17).

After Moses went up to Mount Sinai, the Word of God was given to the Israelites at Shavuot. When the Jews accepted the Torah, they became servants of God. Similarly, after Jesus went up to heaven, the Holy Spirit was given at Pentecost. When the disciples received the gift, they became witnesses for Christ. Jews celebrate a joyous harvest on Shavuot, and the church celebrates a harvest of newborn souls on Pentecost.

Scripture References to the Feast of Pentecost

The observance of the Feast of Weeks or Pentecost is recorded in the Old Testament in Exodus 34:22, Leviticus 23:15-22, Deuteronomy 16:16, 2 Chronicles 8:13 and Ezekiel 1. Some of the most exciting events in the New Testament revolved around the Day of Pentecost in the book of Acts, chapter 2. Pentecost is also mentioned in Acts 20:16, 1 Corinthians 16:8 and James 1:18.

Key Verses

Celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.” (Exodus 34:22, NIV)

From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord … a burnt offering to the Lord, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord … They are a sacred offering to the Lord for the priest … On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly and do no regular work. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.” (Leviticus 23:15–21, NIV)

After Jesus’ Resurrection, when the power of the Holy released Him to be raised into new life from death. After the cross, He walked with and called His disciples into His Great Commission.  He shared the Gospel of the Kingdom, teaching them for 40 days.  After this, He prepared them for His Ascension and called them to tarry, wait in Jerusalem until He released the outpouring of His Holy Spirit power from on high. He was then sending them out to be His witnesses from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth according to Joel 2.

Jesus commanded His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the coming of the Holy Spirit from on high. 10 days after, Jesus Ascended into Heaven, (where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father on His throne,) The Holy Spirit was poured out on them in great measure.  Peter rose up and obeyed Jesus’ commission for them to be witnesses of what God was doing and saying, starting in Jerusalem. He fulfilled Luke 24:46-49. He preached the whole victorious Gospel of the Kingdom of God in Acts chapter 2. Here 3000 were cut to the heart by the Word of God being preached and were saved. This was in direct counterbalance to when  3000 were cut down by the sword for their sin at Mount Sinai and died in the desert. This was a God  Confrontation between Light and Darkness, Blessing and Cursing, Life and Death which God redeemed.

He empowered all those present to have their hearts circumcised, converted, to confess and repent of their sin and to enter fully into the Kingdom of God, receiving Christ’s forgiveness, Baptism in water and anointing of Holy Spirit outpouring.

Luke 4:16-21 (quoting from Isa 61:1-2a)

16  And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17  And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20  And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21  And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

 UNEXPECTED FRUITFULNESS

by  | May 18, 2024

Some of you are about to experience a season of your faith when you will see pre-mature fruit develop. You thought it would take more time and effort to see the fruitfulness of your labor, but something has changed in the timeline. You are about to see the first evidence that an early harvest is coming. The harvest of that spiritual fruit will come in a time when others said fruitfulness was not possible.

Jan and I are turning our front yard into a garden and small orchard. We have planted berries, spices, and various fruit trees, among them a peach tree. We were told peaches would not appear on the tree for a year or two, but there they are, about thirty small peaches beginning to appear just months after planting the bare roots of the tree. It was very unexpected,

The harvest time for spiritual fruit can be mistakenly defined based only on natural laws and human expectations. The timing of a spiritual harvest must take into account one critical element – the hand of the Master Gardener has been at work in the garden. God’s grace and mercy place fruitfulness on a different timeline. The Lord can bear fruit both in and out of the seasons of our expectations. Look again at the branches of your faith. The evidence that pre-mature spiritual fruit is appearing will be seen by those who choose to look at the branches with the eyes of faith.

Praying for Israel and the Jewish People

This year, on Pentecost Sunday (May 19th), millions of believers around the world will be joining in a Global Day of Prayer for the Jewish World. During 10 Days Pentecost (May 9-19), hundreds of locations are joining in 10 Days of Prayer for the Middle East and Israel.

On this occasion, I wanted to share both why we should pray for Israel and the Jewish people, and how to have our hearts transformed so we can pray effectively. I’ll be drawing out three principles from Romans chapters 9-11.

God’s Heart Longs for the Jewish People to be Saved

There’s something special about your firstborn child. While parents love all their children, the firstborn holds a special, enduring place in their hearts. God the Father calls the nation of Israel His firstborn son. So, we can imagine His anguish of heart over their rejection of Him.

Think about it from God’s perspective. After thousands of years of preparation and prophecy, He sent His only begotten Son to be the Messianic King and savior of the nation of Israel, and through them, to bless all the nations of the earth. And yet, in their moment of visitation, the majority of the nation rejected the very Messiah they were longing to see. Thousands of years of preparation were seemingly squandered. Tragically, most missed their hour of visitation.

In Romans 9:1-5, the Apostle Paul shares his heart for unbelieving Jews, which reflects the heart of God.

C) Hospitality & DiscipleshipActs of Kindness showing God’s Care

Start an ACTS 2:42 Dinner in your home, at your table = Home Altars

The early church grew strong and rapidly as it is today in nations of Christian persecution -when God’s people meet together daily, from house to house becoming Disciples of Jesus.

The Way of God’s Kingdom Life for Disciples to Grow in the Word with Souls Multiplying, lead by and orchestrated by the Holy Spirit with Worship, Praise and Evangelism. Acts 2:41-47

41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and [c]sold their possessions and goods, and divided[d] them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added [e]to the church daily those who were being saved.

This is God’s Plan for Revival, Sustainable Discipleship, and standing together in the midst of persecution

Below is the Zoom REPLAY video of the Closing Meeting of this 50-Days Journey – Recorded on Pentecost Sunday – 19th of May, 2024.

Ps Jeff’s Special Today: “Disbelief in the Holy Spirit for today’s ministry ”

Today’s final issue is disbelief in the Holy Spirit and its empowerment for ministry. The Risen Christ was clear. Jesus said: ” for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” ( Acts 1;5). And He added: ” But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). He also said, “Behold I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:49).

Earlier, the Lord had said: ” If you being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11:13).

So we are to ask for the Holy Spirit today; there was no time limit on Jesus’ Truth that we are to ask for His Holy Spirit. Pentecost was simply the first day of its appearance to the 120 in the upper room; it’s available today, once you’ve truly repented, stopped playing church, entered His Kingdom, believing the Risen Christ to be Lord. At that point it’s His JOY to give you His Holy Spirit, indwelling in you, empowering you for the unique call ministry He has for you (John 15:16) to advance His Kingdom. That key mission can’t be done without the supernatural Holy Spirit baptism.

Being candid with yourself, do you sometimes think the Holy Spirit isn’t available today? Is there any old vow you made in this area that now needs to be removed? Do you think this is only applicable to the first disciples years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of this issue for such a time as this? Was it part of some teaching in a lukewarm church? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?

God bless you as you seek His Holy Spirit Wisdom and Comfort on this issue. May you go forward on His path, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).

Bible Verse of the Day

And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
