Defilement!
What a word for today. Start with Jesus’ own words: Matthew 15:10-20—Those things which proceed from the heart come out of the mouth and they defile a man, not what goes into the mouth.
And the Book of Jude speaks to you and me today: verse 8 “dreamers— apostate teachers— “defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.”
To avoid this contamination by false teachers build yourself up on your most holy faith (verse 20) praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping yourself in the love of God. Verse 22,23: On some save have compassion,” but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”
Yes! Repent and join His Kingdom to receive the indwelling Holy Spirit and then speak words of the Holy Spirit; thereby avoiding defilement.
Right on point is 2 Corinthians 7:1 “beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Repent to have the Lord heal your nation. 2 Chron. 7:13,14
13 If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,
14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
During trouble in our nation, this scripture shows us what to do for our land to be healed.
REPENTANCE
Heavenly Father,
I desire to do my small part of repentance, for an end to the plague of evil that has gained entrance into our country through using and abusing the poor. We need You to hear from heaven and heal our nation.
14 and My people who are called by My name,
Lord, I come to you as a believer in Jesus Christ, as Your own child.
…Humble themselves and pray
Lord, I repent of my non-involvement in this National disaster by never praying to You about our borders. I am so sorry for my judgmental heart not only in this one matter but in so many matters of national concern. Please forgive me, Lord.
I have not prayed and asked You to do what is needed. I repent Lord.
Please take my hand and lead me to stand with you on behalf of my country. Lord, I know that Australia deserves this judgment of yours with core issues of alcohol, drunkenness, drugs and immorality. It seems that You have brought these ‘locusts’ to devour the land, and pestilence among My people.
I know it is our lack of righteousness and prayerlessness that has led us to this juncture.
When I think of the seven-mountain mandate of family, religion, education, media, entertainment, business, and government that is manipulated and controlled by evil, I know that it is because the church has not taken its repentance and prayer job seriously and neither have we entered in with You ourselves, nor prayed regarding these seven mountains in our country.
I repent for us all. Please hear my heart, Lord.
…and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways
We are sorry for being so self-centered that we do not seek or care about You.
Let me mark a time every single day to repent and also to simply receive from You. I want YOU. I want to know You. I want to be Your beloved child. You created me to be a joy in Your marvelous family, and not to let my light go out.
There is so much of Your judgment in our land. It is easy to seek You regarding the tiny world of me, but, to seek You for our country is very very, big. I repent for falling short in this.
Please help me to care for this country that You helped to establish, and raise us up to be its spiritual protectors.
Forgive us of our anger and hatred, especially toward those being used by evil forces, as we forgo blame and lay our hatred down, and refuse to indulge it.
…I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Show us the ways of righteousness that we may walk in them.
Help us to mobilize others to pray and repent with us, for perfect unity in our prayers.
Help us to be faithful in our callings and to stand against the evil one.
I repent of our shortcomings as Your children.
Please forgive all of us.
May we turn (TO YOU) that You might heal our land starting in our own hearts and expanding to every area of concern in our country, but today we especially ask for closed borders on the North and South of us.
Forgive our sin of forgetting what You did on the cross for us.
We thank You for the blood of Jesus to be spread by believers through communion and application over every aspect of ourselves, and our country, both physically and spiritually.
Heal our land. There is only You who can do that.
Hear the cry of my heart Lord.
Hear the cry of our heart Lord.
We repent.
We choose to come together in unity to seek You for the solutions.
We need You.
