A Soaking Day – to come aside in the Presence of the Lord
The Psalms often pour out a heart of despair to God, finding resolution. We may feel despised and defiled by people but by facing the Truth of our loving Father’s cleansing we release the shame. It’s replaced with His dignity, won on the Cross for us. Jesus took all defilement upon Himself that we may become the Righteousness of God. Worthy to be His Bride.
I wrote this heart cry song, Save Me Lord in 1999 and found relief and peace singing it. Recorded in one take in my loungeroom on my phone tonight for inclusion in the Prayer Network’s online healing journey preparing the Bride of Christ. We face all and come through shining in His glory.

To be defiled is to be robbed of innocence and purity. Yet our value is not determined by appearances or opinions or even our wounds. The power of the Gospel is not limited by how damaged we are. God looks on the heart. And He restores the years the locust has eaten. His Holy Spirit cleanses us and brings us to holiness no matter what has been done to us.
I know a beautiful Christian sister who was once a call girl. And now after radically following Jesus for about a decade has had her virginity supernaturally restored! That’s the power of Jesus! And we live to the praise of His glory!
He turns things around so that God may be glorified, showing His restoring nature, the power to cleanse and heal. And the miracle of forgiveness flowing to those who polluted us. Now setting them free. And walking free ourselves.
The next song written in 2023 from one who knows hope from what looks futile. We see our eternal destiny…to praise God forever! And we know we can live to the praise of His glory even when our lives feel far from it. We enter in by faith. We receive the acceptance He offers unconditionally in Christ. And He turns what was meant for evil into something to glorify God and so in the end for our good.

Pastor Jeff’s Special Today: “Focusing on self instead of others.”
You and I are to turn from self focus, and the failure to reach out to others…repenting if this is an issue. True conversion and repentance into Yeshua/Jesus’ Kingdom allows the Lord to bestow on a believer His indwelling Holy Spirit. You become a new creation, now focusing on others with His fruits of the Spirit, the first of which is love.
James 3: 13-18 is on point: “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is focusing on self instead of others an old issue needing to be confessed? And then repented of ? Do you think His Word is only for the disciples 2,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of self focus as an issue for such a time as this? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?
