Isa 56:4-7 KJV
For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

As much as you and I are to love our parents and children, Jesus and Almighty Father need to be first in our lives. Comfort and family tradition are not to block Yeshua//Jesus’ specific call to each of us to be His disciples and to follow the Father’s will. ” Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does to take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.“ Matthew 10:34-39.
This is confirmed in the incident when his mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Jesus: ” While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him,’Look, Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.’ But He answered and said to the one who told Him, ‘ Who is My mother and who are My brothers?’ And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, ‘ Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12: 46-50.
Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is family your main focus in this brief life? is it a current or an old issue needing to be confessed? And then repented of ? Do you think His Word is only for the disciples 2,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of family or self focus as an issue for such a time as this? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?
