Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem
Joh 12:12-19
12 The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out:
“Hosanna!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
The King of Israel!”
14 Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:
15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion;
Behold, your King is coming,
Sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
16 His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.
17 Therefore the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of his tomb and raised him from the dead, bore witness.
18 For this reason the people also met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign.
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, “You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!”
Just as Mordecai & Esther were courageous to stand up against the evil of Haman, so Jesus. He ‘set his face like flint’ & entered Jerusalem and was recognised as the Son of David & Messiah as the Pharisees had malicious intent against Him because of His popularity due to His raising Lazarus from the dead.
Jesus showed Courage every step of the way and didn’t give in to insecurity.
Only days later the crowd shouted ‘Crucify Him’ but He was obedient to His Father & Pressed on to the Cross Heb 12:2 – He despised the shame for the Joy set before Him of accomplishing His Father’s will & returning back to Him.
Let us also ‘Turn our eyes upon Jesus and look in His Wonderful Face’

Feast of Purim. Insecurity is Eliminated
We each need the courage and the faith in the Living God Who Loves the Jews, and now all others on His Earth, as evidenced by Mordecai and Esther in the Book of Esther.
This Sunday, March 24, 2024 is celebrated as Purim, the Victory of good over evil.
A great true story of courage and faith for us today.
Cowards don’t get into heaven: Revelation 21:8. Repent, humble yourself as did Mordecai and Esther, build up your faith! Insecurity is then eliminated. Fear is of the enemy. Perfect love casts out fear. The Lord blessed Mordecai and Esther in front of the pagan king given their repentance and love for God!
Let us follow their example today!
This year’s Purim is the perfect model also for a national day of repentance in Australia and the United States. When we repent He blesses us !

Jane Snyder’s Special for Today: “Repent as His Bride before His soon return as your Bridegroom”
Eph. 5:25-27
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and
1. gave Himself for her, that
2. He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
3. that He might present her to Himself a glorious church,
4. not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that
5. she should be holy and without blemish.
We can see that Jesus is expressing what His Church will be as He presents her to Himself. I have listed five descriptions from this passage.
Now, I ask you, “How does the Church get holy without a blemish?”
Could it be by repentance?
- “Gave Himself for Her”
- I repent of not giving myself to others, as You did Lord. You gave yourself as a total blood offering for my sins, and I cling to my selfish ways. Please forgive me.
- Help me to make the way of LOVE to be my highest value.
- “He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,”
- I repent of taking the word of God for granted when you are washing us with the water of the WORD.
- By this, I am seeing that I have no appreciation for even having a bible when so much of the world is without one.
- I am sorry for not honoring Your word. Let me remember that when I honor Your word then I am honoring You.
- If the word of God washes us, does that entail obedience to that word? Please forgive me Lord for reading and hearing Your voice yet choosing to not obey it.
- Please help me to see when I put my opinions and gratifications before Your word. Remind me to repent.
- I lay down my own ways. I will go 100% towards You with your help.
- “that He might present her to Himself a glorious church”
Your desire Lord is the power that works with our cooperation. I am so sorry that I rarely concern myself with Your desire. Please forgive me and help me keep it as a great focus of mine, to help fulfill Your desire.
4. “not having wrinkle or spot or any such thing”
- I know that this starts with me Lord and then extends to all Christians. I like to think of the “spot” as sin, and the “wrinkle” as not getting along with others in Your body.
- Please Lord, forgive me of my spots as I confess those I know of to You. Lord, regarding my wrinkles I ask you to forgive me of all the times I caused trouble in Your Body or took sides that were caused by the enemy. Please forgive me, Lord.
- Then there are the members of my own family that I have not forgiven or repaired. And many times, I got fed up and quit to just move on. But Lord those bad memories I have kept. Today I give them up.
- I want to look upon Your bride the way that You do. Help me, Lord.
- “she should be holy and without blemish”
Clean me Lord with the washing of the water by the word.
I accept Your glorious forgiveness.
I need Your “Wisdom and Your understanding with the Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”
from Isaiah11:2
- I repent of my lack of these virtues that will make me holy without blemish. Help me Lord to rely on Your Spirit for these great virtues as I desire them even in my weakness.
Lord, I want to LOVE Your bride the way that You do.
