Australia Kneels: Week 6 – Day 4

Coming into an intimate place of Communion with Jesus

H.E.A.R.T APPROACH

RECONCILIATION Process before Communion

Forgiveness Unlocks Bitterness in the heart !!

Jesus is the Key – He Unlocks as we speak with Words (which is prophetically) out of our mouth

So let’s consider and follow the H.E.A.R.T. Approach in our everyday situations – even before we have communion.

HEAR

  1. Listen without interrupting.
  2. Ask questions to clarify,
  3. Restate the information provided  (what I’m hearing you say is…)
  4. Use positive nonverbal cues and body language

EMPATHISE

  1. Be sensitive to the person’s experience
  2. Be understanding
  3. Treat the person with respect

APOLOGISE

  1. Don’t become defensive and self-blame to another
  2.  An apology is not an admission of guilt – it’s a way of showing concern
  3.  It’s most effective when delivered in the first person, as in “I’m sorry this happened to you. I want to help you if I can.
  4. People’s satisfaction increases 10-15 %  – when the apology is genuine, and sounds like it

RESPOND

  1. Take ownership of the problem
  2. Explain why the problem occurred (if appropriate)
  3. Outline what you will do to fix the problem, and provide a timeline.
  4. If possible, list options for the person on how to best resolve the issue
  5. If needed, provide atonement (meal tickets, reimbursement of lost items. etc)

THANKYOU

  1. Always end by thanking the person for sharing his or her concern. (After all, if we don’t know about it, we can’t fix it, and the customer walks away angry.)

Matt 5:23-24

23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remembers that your brother have something against you;
24  Leave your gift before the altar, and go away; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

2Cor 5:19-20

19  To witness, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and have committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be reconciled to God.

John 20:16-17

16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Mat 27:51

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

2Cor 3:16-18

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Our Worship Song for the Week:

Goodness of God   Song by Bethel Music and Jenn Johnson
I love You, LordOh, your mercy never failed meAll my days, I’ve been held in your handsFrom the moment that i wake upUntil i lay my headOh, i will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life you have been faithfulAnd all my life you have been so, so goodWith every breath that i am ableOh, i will sing of the goodness of God

I love your voiceYou have led me through the fireAnd in darkest night you are close like no otherI’ve known you as a FatherI’ve known you as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah

And all my life you have been faithful, oh-oh-ohAnd all my life you have been so, so goodWith every breath that i am ableOh, i will sing of the goodness of God, yeah

‘Cause your goodness is running after, it’s running after meYour goodness is running after, it’s running after meWith my life laid down, i’m surrendered nowI give you everything‘Cause your goodness is running after, it’s running after me, oh-oh‘Cause your goodness is running after, it’s running after meYour goodness is running after, it’s running after meWith my life laid down, i’m surrendered nowI give you everything‘Cause your goodness is running after, it keeps running after me

And all my life you have been faithfulAnd all my life you have been so, so goodWith every breath that i am ableOh, i’m gonna sing of the goodness of GodI’m gonna sing, i’m gonna sing

‘Cause all my life you have been faithfulAnd all my life you have been so, so goodWith every breath that i am ableOh, i’m gonna sing of the goodness of GodOh, i’m gonna sing of the goodness of God

Ps Jeff’s Special Today:  “Witchcraft

Today’s issue is witchcraft. Samuel said to Saul: Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” (1 Samuel 15:22,23).

This is also covered in Proverbs 6:18, two of the seven abominations: A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil.”

Peter in one of his letters says: But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.” (I Peter 4:15).

Witchcraft is evil; the Lord is not mocked.” (Galatians 6:7).

Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is this old pattern of following some “good witchcraft”, some New Age pagan practice, some anti-Christ practice, or even rebellion towards the Lord still blocking your serving your Almighty Creator today? Is there any remnant of this old pattern needing to be confessed to Him, your Teacher (Matthew 23:10)? Are there any old vows you made in this area that now need to be removed? Do you think this is only applicable to the disciples 2,000 or 3,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of this issue for such a time as this? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?

God bless you as you seek His Holy Spirit Wisdom and Comfort on this issue. May you go forward on His narrow path, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).
