The 3 Roars
By Diane Spicer
This Message by Diane Spicer – are split into a 3-Part message – over the following 3 days of this week: Day 2, Day 3 & Day 6. We trust it will bless you, and give you some great insight into Who’s Voice are we listening to.. ??
. . . . . . .
In the middle of the night, after praying for a ‘word’ to carry into a retreat I was hosting, I heard the Lord say a number and a word. The number was the number three. The word – roars.
3 Roars.
I wrote it down on the paper next to my bed thinking what does that mean??!! and sleepily prayed, waking up a few hours later.
That morning, I went to my Bible and waited for Him to unpack that number and word. It was sobering.
There are 3 roars we can hear ‘roaring’ right now and it’s important for each of us to identify the differences, and more importantly, decide which roar will we listen to/follow..
THE FIRST IS THE ROAR OF BABYLON
Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries. Revelation 18:1-4
God’s love for you and His people is way beyond what we can understand. It’s unimaginable! So much so, that He put all the weight of sin and debauchery onto His only Son, Jesus, so as to destroy the works of evil; the works of the ruler of this world; Satan.
In Jeremiah 51, it says, “The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Babylonians. The LORD will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy roar. Waves [of enemies] will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.”
Can you hear the roar of Babylon?
You can read more about Babylon in Jeremiah 51 and also in the book of Ezra and in other books of the Bible, but Revelation 18:4 sends a clarion call to the end-time people of God – THAT’S ME & YOU –… about this Babylonian ROAR.
In the end times, God’s people are told to separate from spiritual Babylon, but in the Old Testament, they were to separate from physical Babylon.
Our Father God is lovingly warning his people to stay away from anything that is Babylonian because His wrath is coming against that again! He says clearly, ‘Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.’ Rev 18:4
We saw in the Passover account, that God warned His people about an impending spirit of death. Those who obeyed the clarion call to take the blood of a lamb and put it on their doorposts were spared!
I believe God is sending us a similar warning and one that we must take seriously!
We are being bombarded EVERY DAY with messages that are not just ungodly and worldly, but worse, the deception from a religious Pharisaic system that has infiltrated His Church so much so, that “Christians” are not even aware of it!
Notice that we’re NOT told TO FIGHT that system or to pray to change Babylon… but rather strongly we are told to COME OUT from within her.
The ‘system’ tells us “Success is measured by wealth, status, and popularity.” We are encouraged to prioritize our own desires and pleasures above everything else. We are full of pride thinking we are better than others… we are full of offense, unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred and division. We chase after material possessions, and fleeting pleasures, believing they… will bring us happiness and fulfillment.
The reality is that those pursuits, and any others that take us away from being Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God on earth NOW as it is in heaven, only leave us empty and longing for more.
The pursuit of wealth, material possessions, or selfish ambition can never satisfy the deep longings of our old nature. We were created for so much more than the empty promises that the evil Babylonian system offers.
As Babylon roars, it can be so easy to lose sight of who you are and WHOSE you are. We compare ourselves with social media AI and airbrushed fantasy. We forget that our true identity is found in Christ alone. We forget that we are called to be set apart, to be a light in the darkness, to be a WARRIOR, a royal priesthood in a world that desperately needs His love, mercy, compassion, forgiveness and truth.
We can forget that we are a new creation! And that God Himself longs for us to return to who He intended us to be! no matter what has happened to us or how people treat us!
The good news is that we do not have to be slaves to the Babylonian system. We do not have to conform to the patterns of this world.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-3
You get to choose — whether you will live according to God’s kingdom or the world’s kingdom.
Let me take a minute to teach you something that shifted my whole walk with Jesus. He showed me the difference between the kingdom and the Church. Once I got that revelation… about 25 years ago, I was propelled into the ministry that I’m still operating in today!
We are taught in the Bible HOW to live as His people, to be Christlike. YES??
Look at these. For just a few of the verses…
1 John 2:6 Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
Philippians 2:5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
1 Peter 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
God’s kingdom is not the same as the church. You don’t “GO” to church. You are the church! You are the representation of the Father on earth 24/7; just like Jesus was! The Church is the actual physical body of Christ, on earth today. And we need to live like it! The Church consists of every person who has ever accepted God’s gift of salvation through the cross, resurrection and baptism of Jesus Christ. That is THE CHURCH! It’s people. And it’s global. And our call is to bring the kingdom of God on earth.. as it is in heaven!
The KINGDOM of God is not the people…. It’s the way the people live everyday… It’s the government of God – Isaiah prophesied that the government would be on Jesus’ shoulders!
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
The kingdom of God is characterized by God’s laws & commands. It’s the way He designed you and I to live on earth – today. The trouble is most of us weren’t taught about the kingdom in church. We have been influenced by the roar of Babylon, so much so, that most of the Church today has ‘a form of godliness but is denying its power.” 2 Timothy 3:5 Church looks more like the man-made systems of the world, and we wonder why people are leaving… one reason is because we aren’t learning much about authentic kingdom living!
Jesus Himself, emphasized the importance of the kingdom of God throughout His ministry. He preached the gospel of the kingdom…
Jesus never preached a gospel of salvation. He never preached the gospel of the church! Or healing! Or Prosperity! He never told his disciples that they had to become members and vote for Him to be their leader. He simply said, Follow Me!
Jesus preached and taught his disciples how to live and to preach about the kingdom… a new way of living. A new government order! He told us (His disciples) to bring His kingdom (government order) into our families, communities, cities and nations!
What are the ungodly world leaders-of-nations pushing today? A new world government! And that is the battle we are facing! These 2 kingdoms governments are clashing! The kingdom of God (good) vs. the kingdom of Babylon (evil).
You and I will get stuck in the middle of it all, and suffer unnecessarily, if we do not WAKE UP and make the changes He is asking of us.
The Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus’ day – THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS got all shook up when Jesus spoke about the kingdom… because it exposed Babylon in them!
Responding to a question from them about when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus said, (Luke 17:20-21) “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
In other words, Jesus and His disciples were living out, right in front of them, kingdom living; Jesus was modelling the way God created man to live; healing the sick, setting captives free, casting out demons, teaching others to come out of the worldly and man-made systems to live God’s way…. lovingly providing solutions to man’s dilemmas. And the religious leaders didn’t like it one bit!
Sadly, they missed the opportunity their loving Heavenly Father was giving them: To come out of the World (darkness) and into His Kingdom (light).
The good news is, as a believer, you don’t have to strive to “get” the kingdom!
Hebrews 10:16-18 says, This is the covenant that I will make with them in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts and write them on their minds.”
If you are born-again, the kingdom is already within you!
As the body of Christ, the Church, God’s people on earth today, we are called to mirror Christ likeness, echoing His actions, His words, and His deeds.
“For when I tried to keep the law [Babylonian, man-made religious laws], it condemned me. So, I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.” Galatians 2:19-22
Jesus proclaimed that His followers would do greater works than He did. How? Because He was God in the flesh…in one physical body, born of a virgin…Jesus the Christ.
Today, the very same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead is alive in YOU & in believers globally! And this world is in the shape it’s in because we have failed to bring the kingdom ways into the nations of the earth.
Jesus is our head, Jesus is our authority and we, as His body on earth, are to live according to His government, His kingdom, choosing daily to resist the already defeated roar of Babylon!!
Colossians 3:1-3, “Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.…”
Stop all the WORRYING and being so full of fear about the future! Worldly governments or certain political parties are NOT going to fix the mess we are in! Only God’s Kingdom, in YOU, will provide the solutions to the problems we are facing globally.
AWAKEN LIONESS! GOD IS WITHIN YOU and HIS SPIRIT IS ALIVE IN YOU!
But seek first HIS KINGDOM and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, DO NOT WORRY about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:33-34
and
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs WITHOUT FEAR of the future. Proverbs 31:25
Why am I labouring on this? Because I sensed God say, when I was praying for you, that He wants it to move from mere head knowledge to your heart! From knowledge… to REVELATION… to believing it and allowing that belief to change your daily living habits to reflect it.
YOU CAN LIVE WITHOUT FEAR, without anxiety and depression, and addiction and the affects of trauma…. I’m living proof… BUT it takes work – a decision to surrender ALL, to live His Way, not yours, and to allow God to do the work in you.
Walk with your head tall, knowing who you are in Christ! You’ve been called, chosen, set apart, forgiven, set free, and you are willing to resist the roar of Babylon! “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” Luke 10:19
We were created to be Ambassadors of His kingdom, showing others… by the WAY we live… the transformative power of living in alignment with His will.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
IS that how you see yourself when you wake up in the morning? Is that how you are living every day? You were created and born for a time such as this – you were born to bring the solution to this world’s problems… just as Jesus did!
Any so-called “Christian” religious system that tolerates or promotes fame, wealth, power, selfish ambition, entertainment, pride, or anything that resembles the Pharisees or Sadducees of Jesus day, is a Babylonian system.
It’s a way of living – that is opposed to God. It’s a culture that is anti-Christ, anti-God, and its ROAR is growing louder and louder every day — but yet…. it’s so subtle that Jesus warns us several times… do not be deceived.
Matthew 24:24, “For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect.”
Mark 13:5, “And Jesus began to say to them, “See that no one leads you astray.”
I genuinely care about every one of you reading this today!! My heart’s been crying out to God for you – that He would give you the strength, the boldness, and the courage to live AUTHENTIC KINGDOM LIVES!
Let those who have ears to hear, HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ROAR OF BABLYON! Come out from ‘churchianity’
So, in closing, how do we resist the roar of Babylon? How do we stand firm in our faith in the midst of a world that is constantly trying to pull us away from God? How do we discern the lies of religion that keep us in bondage?
The answer lies in our relationship with Christ. By staying connected to Him through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, prayer, reading His Word, in accountability to other Spirit-filled believers, unlearning any false teachings and relearning to live according to God’s Word. Asking the Lord to examine your heart and belief systems, and let “God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Phil 1:6
So let us RECOGNIZE, REJECT and COME OUT from the roar of Babylon and embrace the truth of God’s kingdom, knowing that it’s in Him, we have everything we need.
And He has made from one blood, every nation of men, to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being… Acts 27:26-28 NKJV

Ps Jeff’s Special Today: “Withdrawing from fellowships”
Today’s issue is withdrawing from fellowship in the Body of believers. The Lord Jesus said that ” It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! ‘It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” (Luke 17:1-4).
So we are not to withdraw fellowship; we are humbly to rebuke another in the face of that sin, and then forgive that brother or sister, repeatedly, when they repent. At all times we are to be in His Loving Body of Christ. In Philippians 1:3-6 the Holy Spirit speaks to us today: ” I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ...” This love is echoed in 1 John 1:3,4: ” ..that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”
Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is this issue of withdrawing from fellowship in the Body of believers, perhaps because you were offended, or whatever reason, blocking your serving your Almighty Creator today? Are you still offended or angry? Is there any remnant of this old pattern needing to be confessed? Do you think this is only applicable to the disciples 2,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of this issue for such a time as this? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?
God bless you as you seek His Holy Spirit Wisdom on this vital issue. May you go forward on His path, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).
