ALIYAH – JEWISH IMMIGRATION TO THE LAND OF ISRAEL
Aliyah is the word that describes the return of the Jewish people from the exile in the diaspora back to the land of Israel. The word Aliyah is derived from the verb “laalot” which means “to go up”, or “to ascend” in a positive spiritual sense.
A person who makes Aliyah is called an Oleh, meaning “one who goes up.”
Today, in modern Hebrew, Aliyah is used to refer to Jewish persons returning home to their Promised Land in Israel from the nations where they have been scattered. He or she is going “Up to Zion,” fulfilling the many prophecies in God’s Word.
Ezekiel 11:17 “Thus says the Lord G-d: I will gather you from among the nations and assemble you from out of the countries where you were scattered and I will give you the land of Israel“
G-d instructs Christians as gentile believers to help them to come back to Israel. Isaiah 49:22 “Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, And set up My standard for the peoples; They shall bring your sons in their arms, And your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders”
Let us PRAY from these Scriptures for God’s Jewish people to find the WAY to go back home to Israel to be safe.
As we think about God’s ways which are much higher than our ways Isa 55:8-9 – we discover one of His Jewish people to come back to His Land
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher (Mature) than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Our Worship Song for this week:
Ps Jeff’s Special Today: “Believing repentance is a punishment ”
Today’s issue is believing repentance is a punishment. Jesus/Yeshua addresses this issue directly; His very FIRST WORD when He knew it was time to preach was: “REPENT for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.“ (Matthew 4:17). This confirmed, word for word, what John the Baptist preached (Matthew 3:2): “REPENT for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.“
Repentance is not a punishment; it’s a free will decision of any person who changes his or her own thinking based on God’s goodness, causing a spiritually mature decision to seek Him through His Word. It is a decision that results in a change of mind, which in turn leads to a change of purpose and action. It includes submission to the Lord, dying to the old self-focused lies of the enemy found in the world and the flesh.
Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is this old pattern of avoiding time with the Holy Spirit to repent out of fear that it’s a punishment, a pattern needing to be confessed to Him, your Teacher (Matthew 23:10)? Are there any old vows you made in this area that now need to be removed? Do you think this is only applicable to the disciples 2,000 or 3,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of this issue for such a time as this? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?
God bless you as you seek His Holy Spirit Wisdom and Comfort on this issue. May you go forward on His path, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).
