What our Call and Purpose is:
We are Praying for Restoration & Reconciliation – Through the book of Malachi and the Chapters of Isaiah 58, 59, 60, 61 recognizing we have not followed God’s ways. Through Repentance, we are seeking our Restoration of Relationship with Him, to Receive His Covenant Promises and Blessings, so that we would be His people who would Reverence His Holy Name (Isa 66:1-2 Isa 55, Isa 57:14-21, Jer 32:38-40 & Heb 12)
A PROCLAMATION of REPENTANCE OVER OUR LANDS and PEOPLES. It is the duty of our nation and its peoples, humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God to confess our sins in prayer and fasting in the hope that authentic repentance will lead to genuine restoration of our nation that manifests in God’s people desiring the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ lifted up and given glory in the earth from Australia and the nations of the South Pacific Mal 1:11 & Isa 24:14-16
We have regarded you Lord as irrelevant in our daily lives, pursuing personal peace and affluence, disregarding your commandments so that we now live in a land filled with evil and idols.
We have failed to be genuine salt and light and appeal to your Divine Mercy to forgive us our trespasses. We have forgotten you and your gracious hand over our nation and pray your sovereignty will especially reign over our families, fellowships, government, education, media, work, recreation and that we act responsibly in all our endeavours.
We pray that our country will no longer be defiled with our sin as we repent and come to honour and acknowledge you as our Lord and Saviour in all things through Your Victory at the Cross. We come before you with thankful hearts to bow to you in reverence with the fear of the Lord relying on Your Word & wisdom.
Your Holy Scriptures reminds us that in previous times you were so patient and overlooked our transgressions but now you call on all of us to repent.
In Jesus name, the name above all names we proclaim your Lordship over our nation and lives for Your Glory.

24 March 2024 was a strategic TIME gate – It was a Lunar Eclipse closely followed by the Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024. The bible speaks about signs in the heavens… eg: Joel 2:30-31 (Repeated by Apostle Peter in Acts 2:18-21), Luk 21:11.
Purim is a day of Breakthrough that the Jews celebrate as the death sentence of Haman against them was broken – it was the day God intervened as a result of Mordecai and Esther’s new decree and time of fasting; Esther 9:1 – the tables were turned over, and the Governors of Provinces rose up and allowed the Jews to fight and defend themselves.so they were not annihilated or utterly destroyed. They lived!! We are praying for the Refuge of lies and covenant of death to be broken over Canberra and Australia according to Isaiah 28.

PROCLAMATION OF REPENTANCE
Let us pray through this for Australia & the South Pacific Nations ………..
Whereas: This nation has been a stiff-necked and rebellious people who have run after other gods, lusting after pleasures, money, fame and power.
Whereas: Sexual irresponsibility and perversion have polluted our nation, and the blood of the innocents cries out to You.
Whereas: We have embraced a “culture of death” where violence has permeated our entertainment, our homes and our schools.
Whereas: Our sins have destroyed lives, dishonored You and defiled our land. Whereas: Many in the Church have profaned the holy Name of God by participating in and condoning the above sinful behavior. And
Whereas: IT IS WRITTEN: IF MY PEOPLE, who are called by MY NAME, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Most Gracious God, Creator of heaven and earth, Almighty in Power, Awesome in Grace and Mercy, the only True and Living God, we, Your people, humble ourselves before You this day and acknowledge that we have sinned greatly and deserve Your righteous wrath.
We beseech You, our LORD, to remember the Blood of Jesus that was shed for us and, in wrath, to remember mercy.
We implore You to pour out a Spirit of conviction and repentance upon your slumbering, backslidden Church so that all of God’s people may truly humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways.
We shamefully acknowledge, and humbly ask Your forgiveness, for: Our complacency, compromise and apathy. Loving the world more than God, which has made us Your enemies (James 4:4).
Our ignorance of the Holy Scriptures and the life of Faith. Ignoring or neglecting our call to prayer and fasting.
Living ungodly lifestyles that have profaned the Holy Name of the Lord (abortion, divorce, pornography and fornication are rampant in the Church).
Clothing ourselves with affluence instead of the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 13:11). The glorification of external beauty instead of the inner beauty of integrity and holiness (1 Peter 3:3-4).
Being a part of the problem instead of the answer, not being salt and light. Harboring unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, hatred and offense toward our brothers. Having no holy fear of God.
The fear of God is wisdom and the beginning of knowledge. Sleeping while the enemy has advanced his agendas across our land through our schools, our entertainment and false religion.
Allowing this nation to plummet into the present depths of moral depravity (Job 28:28). Our lack of compassion for the lost, our failure to heed our Commission (Mark 16:15).
Our lack of passion for the Lord and our idolatry, loving ourselves and the world more than Him.
The anti-Semitic spirit which has pervaded the Church, and for the false belief that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s prophetic and redemptive plan.
Condoning homosexual “marriage” and leadership in the Church, calling acceptable and normal what God calls an abomination.
The sins of racism and segregation. For embracing the wicked spirit of Freemasonry, which has brought deception and defilement upon the Church and this nation.
For embracing political rhetoric over the unchanging truth of Your Word and voting in leaders who are promoting ungodly legislation, supporting death and perversion instead of life and righteousness.
O LORD, to us belongs shame of face because we have sinned against You. And so, gracious God, we make our prayer before You that we might turn from our iniquities and walk in Your truth.
O LORD, according to all Your righteousness, we pray, let Your anger be turned away from our nation … . Righteous and merciful God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations … for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.

O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God … For why should the nations say, ‘Where is their God?’ (Daniel 9 and Psalm 79:10).
MY LORD, may You hear our prayers and supplications and forgive Your people who have sinned against You.
Now, our God, we pray, let Your eyes be open and let Your ears be attentive to the prayers made today in this place. And may Australia once again be a nation which is exalted by righteousness and whose God is the LORD (Proverbs 14:34 and Psalm 33:12).
In the Book of Jonah, chapter 3, verse 10 it says: “Then God saw their works [Nineveh], that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.”

A Prayer of Repentance for Australia coming into her God ordained Identity and Destiny
Prior to the voyages leading to the European Discovery of Australia, people such as Christopher Columbus said ….Lord “you put into my mind — I could feel your hand upon me — the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies- All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me… There is no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit, because you comforted me with rays of marvelous illumination from the Holy Scriptures… For the execution of the journey to the Indies I did not make use of intelligence, mathematics, or maps. It is simply the fulfilment of what Isaiah had prophesied… No one should fear to undertake any task in the name of our Saviour, if it is just and if the intention is purely for His Holy service… the fact that the Gospel must still be preached to so many lands in such a short time — this is what convinces me”.
And Lord we know South America become mainly Catholic because of the Spanish influence and as we know the Protestant English later settled North America at Jamestown and placed a cross at Cape Henry, Virginia Beach on April 29, 1607, claiming America for God as your vehicle for spreading the gospel to every nation.
Also we are thankful for the Portuguese Catholic, Magellan who opened up the South Seas to the Europeans and helped found the Catholic nation of the Philippines as his purpose was to convert the barbarous nations to Christ. It was his faith that sustained him through terrible deprivations after he found a strait into the Pacific. We thank you for Magellan’s miracle of having noticed in the Chief’s house a sick person, the chief’s grandson, and that he had been suffering for two years from a violent fever and exhorted him to be of good courage, that if he would devote himself to Christ he would immediately recover his former strength and the Indian consented, and adored the cross, and received baptism, and the next day declared that he was well again, rose from his bed and walked about, consequently the Chief and over 2200 natives were baptized and professed the name and faith of Christ.
Lord, we thank you too for the sailor Pedro Fernandez de Quiros, another Portuguese Catholic, in 1606 was also seeking to convert the Inhabitants of the south seas to Christianity and believed he finally had discovered what he named “Australia Del Espiritu Santo” in honour of the Spanish King Philip the third of the House of Austria – a land Quiros dedicated to the Holy Spirit and described as being the region of the south as far as the pole.
We thank you for others such as Tasman and Dampier and finally Cook who realized there was a large ocean between Vanuatu and the Eastern Coast of Australia giving good reports back to the British government.
Thank you Father for the Evangelical awakening in England which influenced Australia and the South Pacific and for people such as William Carey who was awakened to the need for evangelism of heathen lands through reading “Captain Cooks Voyages”.
We thank you for bringing Indigenous migrations here and we know Lord that other nations could have settled Australia but it was their beliefs that prevented them from doing so, and that the Hindus prevented sea voyages and contact with foreigners, the Chinese in 1433 the voyages were ended by an internal revolution, besides there was a kingdom of terrifying women down here and the Muslim sailors before the 1400’s believed this Southland was Dedjdal or the kingdom of Antichrist.
We thank you Lord that the European expansion that begun in the East Indies and Pacific and for the many, governors, settlers and pioneers like John Flynn, explorers such as Charles Sturt: Pioneering women such as Elizabeth Macarthur and Caroline Chisholm: Clergymen such as Richard Johnson and of Samuel Marsden who said:
” I can say this that I do not eat the bread of idleness. It is my opinion that God will ere long visit New South Wales with his heavenly grace. Out of these stones he will raise up children unto Abraham. There has not been any shaking yet among the dry bones, but the Son of Man is commanded to prophecy and I hope by and by the Lord will command the wind to blow.
Stir up thy strength 0 God & come amongst us.” and also he prophetically stated in 1796: “By the Admiral Gambier I have sent to England 4,000 to 5,000 pounds of wool. This will be the beginning of the commerce of this new world. Many think nothing of these things now. They cannot see any advantage to be derived to them, their children, or this settlement by improving the fleeces of our Sheep. But I anticipate immense National wealth to spring from this source of Commerce in time and then he continued saying ‘Certainly the hand of God is evident in the commencement of a Christian nation in the Pacific within reach of the great Asian nations.”

It was Alfred Deakin, the major influence on Federation and our second Prime Minister who said in June 1898 after their state voted for their Colony to join the proposed Commonwealth:
“Thy blessing has rested on us yesterday and we pray that it may be the means of creating and fostering throughout all Australia a Christlike citizenship.”
And Robert Torrens a man influential in the formation of the non-convict settlement of South Australia stated in a speech in the UK House of Commons in 1827 that ”we are co-operating in the scheme of Providence and are the favoured instruments in causing Christian civilisation to ‘cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.’” Hab 2:14
As we reflect on our many Christian founders (https://www.chr.org.au/books/southland-of-holy-spirit/) we ask for a new generation of Christian pioneers, adventurers and disciples who are consecrated to you. Please forgive us Lord for not passing on this rich Christian heritage as described in Psalm 78: 1-8 for the enemy knows that a people who don’t know their history can be easily persuaded. If the Foundations are destroyed what can the Righteous do?
Finally we pray that your Kingdom will come and that your will be done in our nation for Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue confess to the glory of God the Father. Amen
We in Australia are deeply grateful to Ps Jeff Daly and his team at the National Day of Repentance in the United States for them leading the way for us to understand God’s heart for our nations and their support for Australia to bow our knee before the Father.
Australia and the south pacific nations were created by God to be part of Jesus’ inheritance and possession at the ends of the earth. (Ps 2:8, Ps 110:3). As declared by Pedro Fernandez de Quiros in the name of Jesus Christ of the 14th of May 1606: “The lands of the Holy Spirit.”
Also the United States of America was created by God’s miracles, in His perfect timing, moving through greatly outnumbered, but passionate Holy Spirit-inspired individuals, seeking the Liberty of Christ (Luke 4:18 ” He has sent Me… to bring liberty to the captives” ) instead of the tyranny of kings.
Australia in contrast was colonized as part of the British Empire, as a penal colony later being divided with many self governing Colonies that later after federation became States and Territories. God by a miracle brought these together in Federation in 1901 with many Christians involved; our preamble of our original constitution based of the Word of God on the foundation of the Westminster Moral Rule of Law says “Humbly Relying on the Blessing of Almighty God“
There were National Days of Prayer in Australia as in USA. We Praise God for bringing Ps Jeff Daly to Australia in 2013 who supported us in calling a National day of “humiliation, fasting and prayer”, the name given by Holy Spirit, after which the first attempt to force gay marriage into Australia was turned back in the High Court. This was without our understanding of the history in USA of eight days of “humiliation, fasting and prayer” during the seven year Revolutionary War. After His miracles brought about victory in the War, issues arose between States under the weak “Articles of Confederation.” Delegates gathered again at Philadelphia in 1787 to attempt to resolve the divisions. At the beginning of the George Washington, hero of the Revolutionary War, upon being voted head of the Convention, said: ” Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God.” When divisions arose, prayers to God each morning were performed; divisions began to be healed. At the conclusion of the Convention in 1787, whereby God’s Providence a way was found to connect the States into a stronger, liberty-based, union, one lady asked Benjamin Franklin what the delegates had created. Franklin said: ” A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”
When George Washington was inaugurated on April 30, 1789 his classic inaugural address cited the Providence of God and His bestowing on us as a nation the “sacred fire of liberty.”
Now, 235 years later, a strong case can be made that we’ve not trusted or kept God’s Covenant. As in USA, we’ve lost God’s Liberty, essentially by leaving God out of our schools and national dialogue and laws. We have disregarded the “hand of God” which George Washington and our Australian forefather’s of the Faith spoke about. Now we have the fruit of broken covenant; crime in the streets, catastrophic debt, foreign wars, uneducated, sexually confused children, corrupt politicians, legalized sexual perversions, the ongoing killing of innocents, idols instead of the living God—all point to the imminent failure of this earlier God-based nation and nations of the south Pacific. God’s judgment is looming.
At the same time, the Living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has a destiny for our nations upon which the Unites States of America, the Federation of Australia and South Pacific nations laws and culture was based. The de Quiros prophesy of 14 March 1606 proclaimed made on Vanuatu, decreed the establishment of the cross through the power of the Blood of Jesus, for the freedom of the Tue Gospel to be preached to all creature’s. This is not nearly complete: spreading the Liberty of Jesus Christ to a world starved for His Truth. We Praise the Living God that He provides in His Word in several places a simple, but profound, process that can be taken by which a nation can be forgiven of its sins and healed: repentance.
An entirely pagan and wicked nation, Nineveh, repented and the Lord relented from the disaster He had planned. (Jonah 3:10). Another well known Word says: “if My people called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Our forefathers in USA knew this process of repentance and used it over 800 times, and in also in Australia’s history. This started in USA with the Pilgrims over 400 years ago. Congress has instituted national days of prayer, but the last call by the White House or Congress for a national day of prayer, fasting and repentance was in 1918, 106 years ago. They’ve had national days of prayer, but not as yet days of prayer and repentance.
This year, in 2024, a call has risen at the grassroots for a national day of prayer, fasting and repentance on Sunday, March 24, 2024. That also coincides with the celebration of Purim, based on the Book of Esther, pointing to our nation’s Judeo/Christian roots in the Living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As a stimulus for a national day of repentance, Purim celebrates the hand of God, and faith and courage in Him, leading to a triumph of good over evil, and victory of a Godly people and nation, precious to the Lord. This same prompting has been received in Australia also as we walked with Ps Jeff Daly in this season of 42 Days as Australia Kneels before the Father as in Eph 3:14
We see pastors and priests all over Australia and the South Pacific Islands, as inspired in the United States including times of repentance during Sunday church services on March 24. We see ministries promoting this move of repentance among their networks. We pray that despite so many political issues our Australian Federal Government as well as Congress will issue a Resolution encouraging this spiritual solution on March 24 to our nations’ dire condition.
Suggested topics and a suggested schedule will be available to any shepherd of any church who asks. We also see hundreds, if not thousands of intercessors in other nations, taking time that day to pray and repent also, praying for His destiny and His Liberty to be restored in Australia and the South Pacific Nations as lead by the USA National Day of Repentance, thus making this a key day a global, not just a national day of repentance.
