The Gathering of the Ekklesia.
These are the days where the Bride of Christ is waking up to who she is. The Body of Christ, His Faithful Remnant are being raised up to maturity to understand the times we are in. We know the Day is fast aspproaching. And we encourage one another even more as we see the Day approaching.
The gathering of believers (ekklesia) was a natural thing to do for the early church. It can be like this for us too when we understand who we are in Jesus Christ and what He called us to.
They met from house to house often where they ate together in Jesus’ name as His body. They shared together this intimate union with Him as His people, filled with the Holy Spirit to encourage one another. It was a time of expressing and sharing the love of God. It was never meant to become formal and traditional but accessible and with participation from all. (1 Cor 14:26)
The more mature would guide the less however the Holy Spirit was acknowledged as the only Teacher they essentially needed as Jesus said (Matt 23:8)
“However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming. He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you. All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.”

The gathering of ekklesia is the time to encourage one another through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. As we lay down all of ourselves He fills us. When we meet we share of the overflow.
“Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.“

If every Christian saw this as normal we would all be enjoying such rich fellowship in our everyday life! We see our time together as precious energizing that helps refresh and strengthen us as we go. We are excited to meet together and tell of God’s goodness to us since last we met. And we share what we learn from the Holy Spirit Spirit. We give testimony and share wisdom and insight from God.

Being candid with yourself and the Holy Spirit, is this issue of …….? Is there any remnant of disobedience to parents, towards you or by you, needing to be confessed? And then repented of ? Do you think His Word is only for the disciples 2,000 years ago? Do you have any residue of a residue of this issue for such a time as this? Was it connected to your upbringing as a child? Was it a family pattern in any way?
God bless you as you seek His Holy Spirit Wisdom and Comfort on this issue. May you go forward on His path, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).
